Patrice Sease-Bey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. She obtained her Mental Health Counseling Master’s degree from Hunter College in New York City. While earning her degree, Patrice completed her clinical internship at Samaritan Daytop Village rehabilitation facility.
Patrice has experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has worked as a College Counselor helping students who experience anxiety, depression, and challenges navigating life transitions. Patrice expanded her skillset during her time as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor where she assisted clients in actualizing their goals to increase self-efficacy and self-sufficiency. Patrice has extensive experience engaging clients with diagnoses related to substance use and co-occurring disorders such as, but not limited to, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and PTSD.
Patrice’s style combines life skills counseling with clinical treatment to meet the needs of clients by utilizing an array of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Patrice provides a safe, down-to-earth, empathic, and non-judgmental approach which creates the ability to genuinely connect and effectively work with clients. During the therapy process, Patrice assists clients in discovering their strengths, building a support system, and developing healthy lifestyles as the foundation for success.
