Brandon Kellum is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New York. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh in PA. He also completed additional postgraduate training in applied psychology from New York University.
Brandon is a client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed psychotherapist who has experience providing psychotherapy in various settings including outpatient mental health clinics, schools, non-profit organizations, courts, correctional facilities, domestic violence shelters and religious institutions. Brandon uses an integrative approach when working with clients which might include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Processing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as a Harm Reduction.
Brandon has been trained to provide evidence-based treatment to youth and adults who present with trauma, mood instability, anxiety, neurological difficulties, psychoses, substance use, conduct disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders. Brandon has successfully helped patients and their families navigate the mental health, social service, and child welfare systems. He understands very well the importance of consultation and collaboration with various treatment providers when working with patients.
