Gregory Kalvin, LMSW

Greg Kalvin is a Licensed Social Worker in New York State. Greg received his degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Previously, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo. He completed a clinical internship at the Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice where he worked with adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Additionally, Greg has experience working in multiple inpatient and outpatient settings with young adults and children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Greg has a background in psychodynamic and relational approaches to psychotherapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Greg employs a welcoming, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach to therapy that makes new and seasoned therapy patients alike feel safe and comfortable.

Through a professional and evidence-based approach, Greg helps patients manage challenges as well as overwhelming thoughts and feelings, whether they stem from their social, personal or work lives. Greg can also help clients find how these challenges might connect to past experiences and struggles. From there, patients can hone their best habits and find new ways forward toward their goals.
