Dr. Bashant’s therapeutic treatment approach is both cognitive and behavioral, and somatic. She guides patients to make the connection between thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behavior. She teaches her patients practical strategies they can use in the real world to become aware of their thoughts, expand their capacity to tolerate and manage strong feelings, and build resilience as they cope with life’s stressors. She believes in empowering her patients to access, develop and use the strengths that already exist within each of them.
