Adina Babad is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College. She completed her internships at the New York Psychotherapy & Counseling Center where she facilitated groups for individuals with persistent mental illness. She received additional training at The Center for Coping where she provided individual therapy to adults dealing with a variety of clinical issues.

Ms. Babad has worked in dual roles as both a clinician and supervisor. As a clinician, she has worked with a wide range of individuals including children, adults, couples, and families, from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has experience working with individuals dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship challenges, identity, etc. As a supervisor, she has had the opportunity to mentor and oversee the work of early career clinicians.

Ms. Babad provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment that emphasizes the importance of working as a team with her clients. She has a client-centered approach and often uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, while also engaging a range of other therapeutic techniques when indicated. Ms. Babad’s eclectic use of techniques comes from her recognition that each client deserves an approach tailored to their individual needs. Her work focuses on empowering her clients to gain insight and reach their goals.
